Manuel De Sousa started working in construction at the age of 13 for a home builder in his home country, Portugal where he learned the skill of building homes with great pride and passion.  By the age of 19, he owned his own business as a builder doing custom homes.  By the age of 21, he moved to Canada and started working for a very reputable builder where he worked for 14 good years.  During those 14 years, he paid attention to all aspects of building here in Canada.  In 1993, Manuel decided to start his own business.  Today, he is building new homes in quite a few different towns in Southwestern Ontario, and more recently building in Eastern Ontario.

Manuel and his family and their many talented and skilled sub-trades, suppliers, professionals and office staff that work with him are especially proud of the "Excellent" rating that he has earned under the Ontario New Home Warranty Program.  More recently, Manuel has earned the " President's Achievement Award for After Sales Service."

  His customers are a wide range of people, from first time buyers, young families and empty nesters.  Many of the customers that he now has are because they know someone who have built a house in the past with Portugal Homes Inc. and they also want a quality home or they drop into the Model Home because they have heard about the company from someone.  They specifically mention that they have heard that the after sales service is excellent and that in today's society where we all lead busy lives that this still means a lot to them.
